Supportive Housing Program Parkridge Harbor’s Supportive Housing Program provides housing and case management to men suffering from a combination of mental illness, substance abuse, HIV/AIDS and other catastrophic illnesses. Men are eligible for the program if they have a documented history of co-occurring disorders, a history of chronic homelessness, and are financially limited. By providing long-term, affordable housing combined with comprehensive therapeutic support, residents are afforded the opportunity to stay mentally and physically healthy, employed and drug free. Coordinator, Don Miller, is a native of Knoxville with a distinguished and diverse work history. After a tour with the Armed Forces in the 1960’s, Don moved to Tehran, Iran working for Bell Helicopters. He returned to his hometown in the 1980’s taking positions with Beck Cultural Center, Knoxville Community Development Corporation, and the Knox County Health Department. He served as Dean of Students for Knoxville College before arriving at Parkridge Harbor in 2004. He currently serves as the Residential Care Coordinator overseeing all aspects of the Supportive Housing Program.
